Guys need some help here as I am stumped. I have a 2002 Mercruiser 6.2 mpi serial #om300000. The problem is that I'm not getting 12v to the coil. I've tested the main power relay and its good. Also checked tach wiring and harness connectors. Whats next crank position sensor or ecm? Should I jump 12v to the coil and see if it cranks? When looking down at the coil pins which pins are 12v +-? Any ideas would be helpful. Thx!!

Is your kill switch passing voltage?

Pink/white is 12V
The two White/Lt Green are negative side but not ground

How do I check the kill switch? When I turn the key to the on position it primes the fuel pump and my audio alarm beeps once as it should.

With knowing this I can say your kill switch is working

Check your fuses. There is a fuse which connects the Red/Black which comes from the MPR to the Pink/White which powers the coil and injectors

Checked the fuses. There is a 3 fuse block next to the relays. They are all good.

Then you should have 12V on the Pink/White wire at the coil

You have the flat cap, have you change the cap yet?

Yea replaced it about 1 month ago. Even have a spark tester and turned engine over. Nothing coming in or out of coil. Pulled coil 3 pin connector, turned key to on position, and checked for 12v. Nothing so wont energize.

Boat was running great then all of a sudden died with no warning. Traced issue to no voltage at coil...

There is an incorrect statement here, or you don't have power coming into the breaker. The starter has a 90 amp fuse which can feed the breaker

Update:

I figured out what the problem was. I had voltage going to the coil and was checking the wrong wire. I checked the primary and secondary resistance of the coil and its in spec. The reason I lost spark to the distributor was the high tension lead failed. Checked it and no continuity. Will get it replaced. Thank you for all the help.
