Mercruiser 488 won't start

I have a Mercruiser 488 (4cyl, 188HP, 3.7 L) engine that won't start. Every time I turn the key, the circuit breaker trips. Any ideas? Thanks,<br /><br />-Bryan

You obviously have a short. If the breaker trips when the key is switched to the "ON" position, I would look in the ignition system. If it trips when switched to the "START" position, check the starting system. GOOD LUCK!!!
