This engine should have 240 HP on the propshaft. Does sombodo know whether it is possible to squeeze some moore out of this engine? Is for instanceit possible to chip-tune?

Well, it may be possible to chip tune, if you have EFI, hence an onboard computer. <br />You didn't specify, but I am not sure that they sell a chip, because the fuel injected models are fairly new. If it is an older one, there isn't much that is cheap that you can do, since there already is little air or exhaust restrictions. I'm not sure about a boat, but on a car, the next thing would be possibly a bigger carb, intake, higher grade ignition system, then a cam. None are cheap, but I think would probably be the next step for any real power. If you are going to do somthing that adds a few horsepower, save you money. 2 hp probably would make you go 1mph faster if that. Good luck

I'd start first with making sure the engine is in perfect tune and turning to specified RPM's. Then look at props, hull condition, extra weight on board, etc. It's always possible to hot-rod an engine, but you may sacrifice reliability and driveability. Besides, if you're running an Alpha drive you don't want to put too much more 'juice' to it.
