Mercruiser 3.0L starter and solenoid wiring

I have an 87 Thompson Cutlass with a Merc 3.0L i/o

I replaced the starter and the solenoid but for the life of me cannot get the wiring correct. Does anyone have a picture of their wiring or a good diagram with the colors of the wires listed they can upload here?

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... The big wire(s) goes to the big terminal on the solenoid,......

The small yellow/ red wire goes to the inside tiny terminal, 'n the other small wire to the outside tiny terminal,.....

You may not have the purple/yellow wire

the large wires are Red w /purple trace, Yellow w/ red trace , the small wires Yellow w/ red trace, Black ground
