What is the difference on the engine block from 1986 to 1977?

Engine no A567310 (1986)

Engine no 4651215 (1977) approx

I want to use the old block on the 1986 engine.

Is there any change on the blocks after 1986?

Ayuh,... There were few if any changes from 77 to 86,... Around 90 it went to a 1 pc. rear main seal...

Trying to avoid surprises

• Flywheel housing
• Flywheel
• Oil pan gasket
• Fuel pump
• Starter

Seems to be only mercruiser making one peace oil pan gasket to the 86 modell
Would the 90- LX oil pan gasket fit?

Ayuh,.... The Question was about motor Blocks,..... Not fully Dressed motors...

Most of the Block's dressings can be Swapped from Block to Block...
Up til the rear main seal change...
