MerCruiser 3.0 TKS kills when at idle (new boat)

I have a new boat that hasn't been on the water until last weekend. I had to give it some gas to get her started and keep it up around 800-900 rpm by giving it some gas. I let it warm up a bit (2-3 minutes) and then put it into neutral to put it into gear and it died. Only way I could get her to go was rev'ing it up 1500 and quickly moving it into N then into F.

Thought maybe I wasn't waiting long enough for the engine to warm up, it was about 130-140 on the Temp gauge. Ran it around for 30-45 minutes between 1000 - 2000 rpm and put it back into neutral. Died again. Tried starting it up again, and had to give it gas and play the game of giving it gas then quickly moving into gear to get it going.

Runs well when in gear, just can't stay idle without some gas, is their an easy idle adjustment to do? I'm a newbie to boats so I'm sure it's something stupid.

Thanks!

MerCruiser 3.0 TKS - Feb 2008 - SN: 1A3097XX

If it's something easy, I'd rather try something then give it back to the dealership to wait X weeks to get it back.

If you have a warranty on the boat get it taken care of by the dealer. TKS carbs are a bit different than your average 2GC.

Bummer... That wasn't what I was hoping for. Thanks though.

Thanks! Just finished reading that one.

You're probably right, but the dealership said they already did this before I picked it up. I was stupid for not requesting a test drive in the water with this one.

Should I try making an idle adjustment up a little, or just bit the bullet and bring it back for them to do the tune up (again, or more likely for the first time).
