I was pulling the engine from the boat and while removing the cables, the threaded part and nut off the carb throttle lever broke.. Checked on replacement part, and it's almost 50.00 just for that lever.. Anyone else ever had this problem, any way to fix this? I've looked around and cannot find a used part anywhere.. Leads/Ideas would be helpful.
Thank you

Ayuh,.... Grind the broken stud off the arm, 'n build up a replacement with nuts, bolts, 'n washers to replace it's function,...

50 bux and you can put a new piece of linkage on it if you can't figure out how to manufacture a usable replacement.

Item 32 in this picture.

Re: Mercruiser 3.0 carb broken piece

Thanks for all the replies. I'm completely restoring this boat, its my first with an inboard in it. I had NO idea replacement parts for such tiny items costs so much, but yet it seems like a lot of the parts can be manufactured in house. For example, my trim bracket is rusted as well, but $50+ for a metal bracket? I should buy a piece of stainless and start making brackets for people to support the cost of my rebuild lol

There's a thread 1991 Invader Restoration if anyone is interested in keeping up with my project. Thanks again for the help. :)
