Mercruiser 228, I have no power at the panel, however the trim is working. Battery is charged. 60 amp breaker looks fine, reads 12v on both sides. What am I missing?

Howdy

Trim pump is connected direct to the starter post where the battery comes in. If your getting nothing, look under the helm for an inline 20 amp fuse, this is the main power for the motor

There are 7 fuses on the panel itself, all are fine. I cannot find any inline fuses on the wire. I know I'm missing something obvious here.

Its an inline fuse, not on the fuse block. Do this, check for 12V on the Red/purple wire going to the key switch

Ok this is getting strange. I have 13.1 volts on the red/purple wire at the switch w/o the acc switch on. When I turn the acc on, I drop to 9 volts, and the motor does not turn over.

Also...when the acc switch is on and lit, when I switch the blower or the bilge on, the acc light goes out and nothing works.

Check the ground connections on the battery to the block. Make sure to remove the cables and check under the insulation jacket for corrosion

Ground looks great, i might add that the ignition has worked perfectly for years, even today, then it had a hard time starting, and now here I am.

One more try AllDodge.....after letting it sit for an hour, I came back, all power was normal at the panel, acc, bildge, blower, etc.....turned the key to start, heard one click from the engine compartment (like something tripped), now back to limited power at the panel.

go to the engine and jump the large slave solenoid terminals. if the motor does not turn over you have a battery or battery cable problem
