Hello folks!
Recently got a 1991 Glassport with Mercruiser 2.5.
Tuned and did some work on it in last month, runs flawless.
Was about to go fishing tomorrow, got all gear in, kicker mounted etc.
Then noticed my exhaust bellow on outdrive side was disconnected and had a little tiny tear on end of it. ( I guess that's why my boat got louder when i was about to go back last time lol ).
I've put it back as much as i could and tightened it all the way further from the tiny tear.
Seems to be holding so far.
Ordering new part to replace next week.
My question is, can this engine/outdrive run without exhaust bellow if let's say it comes off in water or tears somewhere in the middle?
Any harm to the engine?
Do you risk a hydrolock or rinsers keep the water out and the only risk is rust on ujoints and louder redneck-boat?
