Hello again. I just had some photos developed that I took of my old 1975 Mercruiser 165hp I/O and the sterndrive.

If anyone needs a photo for reference or wants to compare 165hp inline 6's, here they are:

Port side engine/exhaust manifold/carb/etc...
http://members.aol.com/ammonc/165Engine1.jpg

Starboard side engine/coil/distributor/spark plugs/etc...
http://members.aol.com/ammonc/165Engine2.jpg

Lastly, here is a photo of the stern drive, transom and swim ladder.
http://members.aol.com/ammonc/165Sterndrive.jpg

If you have a 165hp Mercruiser, feel free to use the photos as you see fit.

Butch A.

i got me one of those too, mine is a 72. can ya tell me on the auto choke. the tube running to the exhust manifold. my tube isn't long enough to reach the hole in the manifold, is there a coupling that i'm missing, is my tube going the the carb just broke off (manifold end). i'm fine on the carb end, just about 3/4" to short to hook into the manifold. thanks in advance, jim.
ps, i still got the sock that goes over the tube. :D
