Hi guys, My 1969 Glastron with a Mercruiser 160 started overheating this weekend. I just put it back together and took it out on her maiden voyage. It ran great for about an hour while tubing. It then started to smell like it was running rich and started to squeal. I quickly shut it down and let it cool for about an hour while towing it back to the dock. It restarted fine but heated back up real quick while docking. I pulled off the 1" supply line at the thermostat housing from the 90 deg elbow, started the boat and nothing came out. I am thinking the impeller in the outdrive is shot. is this something that can just go bad in an instant? This is a Mercruiser MC-1 S/N 2566824. The GLM 12130 repair kit appears to be correct. can someone verify this and recomend the best way to make this repair
