Mercruiser 120 runs bad after warming

I have a 1985 Galaxy fish/ski with a 120 Mercruiser i/o. She starts right<br />up and runs beautifully for about 10 to 15 min. After that she starts backfiring, hesitating. She will only go around 8 m/hr. which slows until she dies. She'll start right back up again and running bad again<br />etc. etc. etc. Thanks

Check that the choke isn't stuck closed or come of its linkage and flopping around.
