I have a 1984 cheetah 166 with mercruiser 120 engine. I'm having a problem with the carb butterfly always staying closed even after the engine has warmed up. The engine runs fine so long as I hold the valve open, but when I let go it closes up. The carb is a rochester two barrel. I also recently changed my pre alpha raw water pump. I'm not sure if that could affect anything or not... Anyone know how I might fix this. I've searched the forum, but so far haven't found any similar problems. Thanks for the help.
