I pick-up a 18' Starcraft Holiday with a 120 HP Mercruiser I/O, GM 4 cyl., 153 Cu.In.
(Motor Serial # 5192093 ) I think it maybe 1979 - 82 (?) /
Stern Drive Serial # 5199679 - 1.98 R (?)
This boat has been sitting for over 5 years, it will turn over (I didn't try to start). I'm not sure what this motor is ? (Pre Alpha ?) How to find new part numbers for this motor?
It will need a new impeller, and gaskets, .. what else do I need to do before starting?
I will remove the old gas, new spark plugs.....
I lowered the outdrive a few inches and It would not come back up, what can I check?
I also turned the key to the on position to check the fuel tank level, and the OIL light came on and a buzzer sounded, what are the possible caues?
