mercruiser 120 gimble bearing luberication

anyone know where the location of thelubrication point for the gimbel bearing on a 1969 mercruiser 120. it has the snap ring holding the bearing in.<br />also what type of lubrication and where can i get it?

If your asking where the grease fitting is it is at the five oclock position on the transom plate on the outside of the boat. Use good marine grease. Wal Mart has it.

My boat doesn't have on at that location. could it be located somewhere else?

these old units did not have a greasable bearing , it was sealed with grease inside of it .

Depends on which one he has...Look at the pic..Or give me model and serial number. My bet is you DO have a grease fitting.

The picture that was sent doesn't look familiar to what is on my boat. Also I cant read the numbers<br /><br />The model is a 120, Engine serial # is 2646439 and the lower unit # is 2650386.<br /><br />thanks for any help
