mercruiser 120 1984, oil pressure galley

Trying hard to get the basket case back together.....had to look hard to decide where the oil pressure sender went on the block....(below and aft of the oil filter just above the oil pan).....found the hole fouled by (I believe) mud dauber nest....have cleaned out and chased the threads in the hole....want to be sure that the HOLE is open to the oil galley.....

Where deep in the recess of this hole is the hole to the oil galley......straight back? upper left? lower right?

Visibility in the hole is basically non-existant...would like to probe with a wire to be sure that port is open....

Any help is appreciated....

crank the motor, you will see it squirt out.
