If you have a heat problem that is boiling the fuel in your carburettor, fix the underlying cause, don't just patch the symptom...

BTW, heavy heat soak is usually caused by over-propping...

The link you posted goes to a spacer for a Rochester 2 barrel. I know they look similar, but I believe the bolt pattern is different for a Mercarb, so it would not work anyway.

I don't think it will ever be an issue. Heat soak can't happen in a 140 or 160 degree Tstat motor with no turbo or 1200 degree exhaust components under the hood. Especially in a pleasure craft with a water cooled exhaust engine equipped with a 2 BBL carb.
