Here's what I have:
1987 Sunbird Corsair
Mercruiser 3.0 s/n 0B554398
Mercarb s/n 13899562 (stamped into side of carb under fuel inlet)
I am looking to buy a rebuild kit, but I keep coming across "do you have a straight accelerator pump or a 90 degree accelerator pump?".
Is there any way to identify this from the outside of the carb without disassembly? I've narrowed the choices down to 18-7097 for the straight pump and 18-7098 for the 90 degree pump.
By the way, I've spent the last two hours reading about this on my android smart phone waiting for my laptop to boot (might be time for a new laptop after carb rebuild ).
Thanks in advance for any help.
