merc trim trouble

i have a 96 100 hp merc, the motor will trim up but not back down. The trim motor runs in both directions, but nothing happens in down direction. i tried bleeding the system, it was full of fluid. Before it quit going down, the motor would bounce while it was trimming down.

thanks i was looking for something like that, it's definetly not electrical, motor runs in both directions, just can't get it to go down.
