I just put my engine back in the boat after replacing manifolds risers and a coupler. Everything is in excellent running order. My trim and tilt seems to be all screwy though. On the tilt up is down and down is up. On the trim switch up does not respond and down goes up but at the faster rate that the tilt function uses. Any ideas? I do not believe I touched any wiring. I have had this thing out a 4 or 5 times throughout the years. If it matters both sensors for trim/tilt position and limit are brand new last season, adjusted correctly, and send perfect signal to my dash board.

Did you have the hydraulic lines off the trim pump by any chance?

Love it :D... Why can't all threads start like this....

If you haven't changed any wiring, what has been changed? These sorts of things don't change themselves...

hahahaha. I actually read the how to in the begining by Sticky. So i said y not be formal. OK so to answer the forst question, No I did not have the lines off. all can think of is that perhaps I crossed the contectors when I hooked the harness back up. But the last time I had that a part was last spring. And it worked fine last season. Could it be selonoids?

Not unless they were wired wrong. Something had to be changed in the wiring or the hydraulics for it to work backwards. It's a 3 prong connector, and you can't put it on backwards. It will only go on one way,

To the late great Don S. funny story and I'm sure you woud have laughed greatly. I had the hydraulic lines reversed. Call it a blonde moment. Rest in peace friend. And thank for all of the great advice. I am much wiser on so many levels because of you.
