Hi...follow the heat sensor wire to see if it connects or continues into other wires .then follow those to see if there is another area of concern( disconnecting the over heat sensor should have nothing to do with stalling at quarter speed .feel the cooling heads by hand and see if they are too hot to touch..if cold or warm then proceed to wiring issue or other sensor...let me thx BARNICAL BILL
