merc sportjet 90 problems

I had my boat out last weekend and shortly after I was at full speed the boat just bogged down took it to idle and its fine when i give it throttle it boggs down again I also noticed that it was burning a lot of 2stroke oil as well now it will not stay running if I throttle it but runs fine at idle any suggestions

That is a two stroke outboard motor at it's heart I believe. try the merc outboard forum. FWIW - try a fresh set of spark plugs. 2 stroke motorcycles have those same symptoms when the plugs foul.

It's a MERCURY Sports Jet, an outboard motor on a jet pump, Not a Mecruiser I/O
Moving to Mercury/Mariner forum.

I have new plugs. Is there a bypass on the wiring harness?
