I have an 86 75hp 4 cyl. motor. I can get a mercury manual 75-115 inline that was printed in 84. Would this still work for me as I'd like to use if for gerneral purpose, wiring, troubleshootig, maint. etc...

Or would I be better off with the clymer or seloc books.

thanks, Scott

A mercury manual is a much better manual but you have got to get it for the right year, specs. change quite often

Re: Merc Service Manual

Has anyone taken the HP and serial # to a local dealer and tried to order the real manual?

That's the best book out there.

I have no qualms about selling you the manual.

Just respect me,and buy parts as you can.

DHP

Re: Merc Service Manual

Laddiesservice I agree with you wholeheartedly- I bought the seloc manual that covers about 40 different mercury models and I really should have bought the genuine mercury manual. There simply isn't enough specific info in the generic manuals.
