Hi all!
I recently purchased a 1976 Marlin with a Merc 140HP engine. I am searching for a good service/repair manual for my engine and outdrive. What do you suggest? Is it worth it to spend the extra money on the factory manual or will the Seloc (or other manf.) manual be good enough?

One more question: Are there any known problems or quirks with this setup that I should know about and investigate?

Thanks for any help! :)

Re: Merc repair manuals

Go with the factory manual. Much more details.

Re: Merc repair manuals

Thanks much for the info and welcome guys!
Ok then...Service Manual #2 it is.
I would like to order the manual online at the same time that I order some replacement parts for a general tune-up/de-winterization.
Could someone recommend a good online parts house that has decent prices and is reliable? It would have to be one that also sold the manual too.

Thanks,
Justin
