Need response from someone who really knows the answer. Have a 91 70hp Force, replaced the remote control with a new Merc Commander 2000 unit..Merc dealer was "sure" this would work with existing cables/linkage. Installed it, everything was fine except fast idle lever..would not budge. Can't figure it out. Will a Merc remote co-exist with a 91 Force? I get six of one opinion, half dozen of another.
