Merc/Mariner 75 hp Stator

Hi<br />I have just replaced a faulty Stator on my Mariner 75 1993.<br />Can anyone tell me if this original Stator had been 9 amp or 16 amp.<br />Is it just the new red type Stators that are 16 amp.<br />I am concerned that I have replaced a 9amp Stator with a 16amp one.<br />Thanks in advance.

Hi!<br />The right part number for 75hp mariner with S/N 9589039 THRU 9793576 is:<br />398-832075A5 Superceded From 398-9710A30.<br /><br />I hope it helps!

If you had a regulator on top of the air box, you had a 16 amp already.<br />If you only had a rectifier and no regulator, you had a 9 amp stator.
