Clif.. Two bolts on each side of the upper part of the lower unit. One nut just above the prop. Their is no shift rod attachment. ITs a splined shaft..Remove the four bolts and one nut and drop her down.
clif there also is a trim tab that you have to remove on the back side of the motor above the prop (aluminum) remove that and there is a nut under that.<br /><br />Good Luck!<br />Nick
