Merc flywheel

I have a 96 model V6 merc, the flywheel has a 3 hole bolt pattern on top (I assume for pulling the flywheel). The holes are approx 1/4" diameter, but a standard bolt does not fit in them. Can someone tell me what thread these are? Are they metric?

Metric thread,used for lifting eye, The flywheel puller, screws inside the flywheel.

Thanks Clanton, now what do you think they call it, I need to buy a couple or 3.. 6mm x 11 threads/cm??? Any help would be appreciated, me and the bolt guy can probably figure it out if I don't hear from anyone.
