Merc/chevy straight 6 won't start warm

boat runs fine cold till you shut it off and wont start till it cools 20 - 30 min. Guage doesn't read "hot" Any Ideas? Could it be a bad float? Vapor lock? any quality guesses would be a big help. Thanks Brent flinter@hotmail.com

Does it turn over? Have you checked for spark when it does not start? Post more detailed info such as year/hp.<br /><br />Bob

He said it will turn over but one time it starts and another it wont, just turns over and over....But the problem is only after it has run.<br />He didn't answer my question about year and size he just said before that it had a chevy straight 6.
