Merc 90 Sport Jet - NiCom Cylinders?

1994 Baja Blast W/ Merc 90 sport jet.

I would like to know if the cylinders are coated with NiCom.

Further, I found out that the number 1 cylinder is not holding any pressure. has ayone had this happen to them? Any solutions/suggestions/advise?

nicom is a silicon carbide coating not normally used in this type of application at least not that im aware of . if you have low or no compression in cyl 1 the first thing i would do is to replace the head gasket having seen several do just .
