Merc.85 hp (850) Boggs

I have 73 or74 85hp merc. I have cleaned and rebuilt carbs. It will run at low speed and run like crazy at top speeds but boggs &stalls if I Gun it . Please help! Thanks

Chucky, It sounds like your carbs are set too lean. Open the idle mixture screw on the top carb 1/8 turn and try it again. If is still bogs, open the bottom carb screw 1/8 turn and repeat. Repeat sequence if necesssary.
