Thanks to you guys I got the tank all cleaned out, no more water nor white sludge, Clean Clean.<br />Now what octane gas should I use and should I use an additive . Tank is 22 Gal plastic, motor is oil injected. How do I make sure this water/ sludge in the gas tank doesn't happen again.<br />Thanks To All Who Advised. JarHead-8 In The Swamps...

Ahoy, Jarhead.<br /><br />Use 87 octane unleaded, alcohol free gasoline and TC-W3 rated outboard oil.<br /><br />In your climate condensation is going to happen in your fuel tank. Install a water seperating filter between the tank and the engine and drain off the water regularly.<br /><br />Good luck, and Semper Fi!

Thanks for that advise and I will comply, should I add nothing to the gas as a aditive, and should I always try to keep the tamk full? I'll make the rounds again at the boat shops looking for a water separator for the 60 HP, last time they said don't bother not needed, May be i should let my JarHead come out first,"chokeUm Real Good"then ask for the water separator.
