Merc 50 HP starter conversion

I have a Merc 50 HP SN. 3817770. It is manual start and I would like to convert to electric start. I am very capable at repairs. I need to know what I need to get for brackets and harness.Also where I might get those parts.. Anybody got any ideas or advice? Thanks!

Judging by your serial number you have an older engine. It might be easier and less expensive to find another old engine with the electic start...either use that engine or transfer it across.<br /><br />TMD
