Merc 50 hp, how old

I just picked up a 50h.p. Merc, trying to find out what year it is, serial # is 6097795. Also, tilt and trim cylinders and hoses are there, but no motor. Need to find out what type of motor to get. HELP ! ! !

Thanks for the information, I now need to know, or where to find out what hyd. pump to get for the tilt and trim on this motor. Thanks again and smooth waters to you.
