Merc 4.3 mechanical fuel pump oil leak

My 89 merc 4.3 v6 carbureted fuel pump leaks oil. I replaced the pump a year ago with a carter USA made marine fuel pump and just noticed it started leaking oil . I pulled the pump and replaced both the plate and mounting gaskets and it still leaks. Seems to only leak when I put a load on the engine. I ran it for 15 minutes on the hose before heading to the lake and it was dry. Now after running around the lake it’s dripping again

maybe try some gasket sealer?

Tried fipg made by Toyota. Thst stuff has never let me down. Going to try and run the boat again at the lake today.
Worst case I’ll buy a new pump. I noticed mercruiser stopped using USA carter and uses a Korean brand now. I’m thinking if this doesn’t fix it the pump casting is leaking or maybe leaking out of the pin that holds the arm.

Yeah i wonder if casting is porous maybe you can clean and slather with permatex #3 or similar to test

I put in a Sierra about 5 years ago no leaks and works fine. Think is was S Korea made. I also have a spare Carter that is USA made. When I installed it I used either Permatex or OMC gasket sealer.
