Merc 300 - Is it a 30 HP or a 35 HP???

I have a Merc 300. Rex and I were discussing whether it was a 30 or 35. The serial number is 1331483. After the model number of 300 there is a 6 stamped. This is one of those things that just nags at you when you don't know the answer. It is a 30hp engine. Merc used the extra 0 on the end for a while in the early years. I have a Merc 500 = 50hp and a Merc 800 = 80hp. See the pattern?
