Good day to you all! I'm a total newbie and looking for info on a motor I just purchased. It's a Merc 3.5hp 2 stroke. ser# 6555165 made in Mexico with brown decals on the engine cover. It appears to be in great shape, tank is dry. I don't want to do anything till know more about it. Can anyone tell me the year of manuf, oil/gas mix, anything else I should know before pulling the cord? Putting it on a 12' tracker jon boat for getting around a large pond to clear curly leaf pond weeds.
