I recently bought a sea ray 1995 175 bowrider with mecr 3.0 open cooling system and alpha 1out drive. The boat had not ran since may 2001. Oil was black but no signs of water. Boat was very very clean, so i paid the 7000. I just started going through the engine today. The compression in all cyclinders is between 130 and 150. I drained the old gas out and flushed lines with new. Hooked up my water hose and attemped to start it. It seemed like it would start at first, but faded quickly. I had the fire supersor off and thought too much gas was flowing into carb. Pulled plug 1 out and it did not look wet. I broke the plug....... so i am getting some lunch and new plugs. Should gas flow heavily into carb or does that seem odd?
