Merc 233 (351W) Tune up kits?

Hey there everyone, I went into Advance Auto yesterday in search for new cap, points, rotor, and condenser for my Merc 233, except everything they had for a 351 was not looking at all the same for what I already have, is there a different model I can look up, or do I have to go with a marine only supplier?

Your engine doesn't use the same distributor cars do, that's why you can't find them at an auto parts store when looking for auto parts.

Go up to the top left of this page and click on "Marine Store".

This thread got lost on my computer, thanks!, although I purchased a new cap, and it appears to fit fine, suppose its okay to use the cap from an auto store?

nope, you thought wrong. marine cap keeps the spark in and fuel vapor out. so no explosion can happen under a closed engine hood.
