Merc 150 XR6 are they a good motor

Looking at a new bass boat with a new Merc 150 XR6, are they an ok motor or should I look at the EFI. The XR6 fits my budget better than the EFI....

I have had a Mercury 200 carb motor since 1981 never had to rebuild it runs great. Its all in how you take care of one. And i would take the oil inj off and permix

the xr 6 is a good moter. the moter runs well know the efi will cost you more money have the ability to just turn the key and it starts first time because of injection but other than turn key, and every other bell and wistle on the efi. the xr 6s get the job done effectivley and for a good price.

Witchammer and mercurymercury, thanks for the reply. Looks like I will go the xr6 route more hp for the money. mercurymercury where are you from in Ohio, I was born and raised in Warren, but now reside in Memphis.
