Merc 150 not pumping water?

I just picked up an Nitor 882 bass boat with the 150 Mercury XR6 motor and I didn't like the idle stream the impeller was putting out. I got the boat for a deal and came home and changed the impeller out and it looked fine. It was changed anyway and with the muffs on at idle...it still doesn't stream, it just dribbles. There is a significant amount of water streaming out of the lower zincs though. Without a head temp gauge it's diffucult to see if we are overheating. Is the nozzle to the stream clogged? Or is this normal?

Any help would be great.

Steve.

That's pretty much normal exspecially on the muffs... Once the thermostats open up the stream will be very strong if everything is working properly...

Won't hurt to check the nozzle and the poppet valve and put in new stats...
