merc 140 runing 180 DEG under load it has a new <br />seawater pump and a new thermostat. Could the parts from the old pump be someplace they should not be?<br /><br />thanks
Did you ck the water intake, underneath the pump peices will fall down the intake when the impeller loses fins, just pull the covers off the intake and take a look--Bob
if the pump was missing vanes they are in there somewere<br /><br />did it run at the correct temp in the past<br /><br />you dont say how old it is but at some point the exaust manifold and elbow will clog and block water flow OUT of the motor<br /><br />tommays
