Merc 115 water pump question

This is sort of a continuation from my last question, but thought I would separate it from the other issues.<br />When I am running with the water muffs, should I only be seeing water exiting out of the telltail(as well as leaking around the muffs)? I am finding water coming out the exhaust, and through other holes/ports in the lower unit (like around the shifting shaft access hole). This question is posed because it seems like I have a weak tell tail and am trying to track sown the problem. Put fresh impeller rebuild kit last week.<br />Mercury 1990 115 HP (4cyl).

what you are seeing sounds normal to me. The tell tail hose only exhibits a very small amount of water compared to the overall amount cooling the engine.

But the water exiting the tail tale should be a constant and fairly strong stream, even when running at idle on the flush muffs.<br /><br />Craig
