I have replaced my impellar in my 1964 merc110 9.8hp. When I did this it was what I thought pretty straight forward work but now it may be overheating and I need to know if I did it right. Does anyone out there know where the long tube runs to out of the pump? It seems to be pumping water out ok now but I am not sure if it is circulating or just running oout the end of the tube. The one end is in the pump then it runs up inside the motor Into something? or just hanging loose? HELP PLEASE!!!

Thanks

Stuff...

Because you're still working on your Merc 110 (9.8 hp), you should stick to asking questions on your original post. That way...the info you've already provided will be there to give the folks who are "in-the-know" the info they need to help you out.

I'm not certain how your Merc's raw water pump connects to the block. I'd assume in the same fashion as my '74 Merc 4 hp...but we're talkin' 10 years difference... I don't want to provide bad info...

Walt
