Merc 110 cooling issues.

I have a 76 merc 110 9.8 hp.<br />Installed new impeller,when started there's lots of water from the tell tale.<br />Drive for about 10 min. and the water flow gets less & less then stops.<br />Shut the motor off then start up and it does the same thing,lots of flow then stops after about 10 minutes of running.<br />Any ideas of what may be going on?

You have a piece of broken impeller in the system, some times they are in the water tube to the engine and with the unit removed you can blow them out, some time you wind up pulling the powerhead, cking the tube and if it's not there removing the exhaust plates and cking, once in awhile they are lodged in the hole that goes from the exhaust cooling into the area around the cyls that means removing the water jacket cover if your doing a impeller and there are peices missing the little engines will do it ever time
