melted wet exhause hose

Well, I melted a wet exhaust hose to the riser on a 350 chevy raw water cool inboard....not sure why...the water temp. never went over 140' and always pumping water...any suggestions?

My guess is that there was a laps in water being pumped at some point. I would check your raw water pump while your making repairs. If you need a hand, have beer handy

I'm thinking you have a restriction in the exhaust riser or manifold on that side. Water flow was reduced to that side of the exhaust but plenty of water keep the rest of the engine cool.

Also agree with Scott, I pack a cooler

Ayuh,... No doubt, burnt rubber is from no water flow,.... I think yer probably Right,....

I'd still change the impeller,....

Thank you for the suggestions...went to the boat last night and poured water in the header hose and a lot more water came out one side than the other...one mixing elbow ordered!!
