Mecruiser won't run/start hot

1987 Mercruiser 140 HP<br /><br />Starts normally when cold. After 1/2 hour of operation engine stalls and then will not start until 1/2 hour to 45 minutes later.<br /><br />Temperature gage reads normal during operation

Ignition system. Likely a bad coil, cheap and easy like you wanted to hear.

There is always an OR<br /><br />Your fuel line may be Vapour Locking...I understand you guys are having out of the ordinary heat out there. If the coil does not fix it...try to run the engine with the cowling off or the blower on...see if you can cool down the engine compartment.<br /><br />TMD

I dealt with the identical problem some yrs ago. Replace the coil.
