I don't know if it's the same company you are asking about but MacGregor is still making them in California. Try searcing the web. Yea, BillP is right, Mcgregor has been building inexpensive swing keel boats for years, they used to have the name venture. think there built in california. they make one that they call a motor- sailor which is a piece of junk, It dosen't do either very well, but on the other hand, they built a 65 footer in the early 90's that was a rocket ship.............
