MC-1 question

I have a 1975 inline 6 165 Mercruiser that I am working on. I’ve identified the stern drive as an MC-1. Does anyone know the part number for this rubber o-ring fits in the exhaust port of the gimbal housing?

You can match it at a NAPA or any place that sells “O” rings.

I suspect from the holes in yours you have a later transom housing

this parts diagram is from later 1978-1981 165 and #14 is the two orings

As Kenny said most likely any place that sells orings like a good napa or a seal and packing place will have them. The Oring dimensions are given in the parts detail if you dont have originals

Scott06, Thanks for your help locating the o-ring. I went ahead and ordered it. $4.40 for the part $8.95 to ship it. Oh well, couldn’t find one locally.

yeah happened to me before too. I try to order order some other parts like drive gaskets lube etc what I need for winterizing
