Maybe redundant, But How can I delete a thread I started

I want to delete a thread that I started, it has no replies and I have my answer. I see the edit button, but I can't figure it out. I delete the content, but then I am asked to add content, that my post is to short. I hope I am not asking a dumb question to delete a dumb question. I find that I answer my own questions if I get my hands on the job and not on the computer. I don't want to waste anyone's time. I will try to get my answers by searching old threads instead of posting a new one every time. Have patience with me. I was trying to ask if control cable anchors were replaceable, but I have not seen any for sale. I did see a kit for a different cable, but why pay almost the price for a new cable to fix an old cable. Thank You everyone.

PM a mod to delete it or just let it die and slip quietly into the archives, it's not a big deal.

... or you can post your findings and soloution that you came up with to your thread in case someone else has the same problem and you may end up actually helping somebody.
